Japanese Beautiful Model

are the standards for whats attractive less shallow for men then women?

i walked into a department store, and i noticed all the female models in the photos were thin, waxed eyebrows, and pretty hair but the male models in the photos were anywhere from muscular, thin, average, a lot had un groomed hair, some looked just like regular guys does anyone else think so?

  1. No, men can be just as shallow. Trust me.
  2. I believe hot girls and men is what should be the image. All the ugly men and women is not the image.
  3. No, it's not that it's more shallow. It's that men are much more sexual than women, and they are the ones who seek out the attraction. In the archetype of sexuality, women are the ones who doll themselves up with makeup, hair and clothes to attract a man. Men aren't the ones who dolls themselves up to attract women. Men are the ones who just seek out the attractive female, they aren't the ones who are sought after. Also, you're judging your opinions on what models look like. Models don't look the same because the standard for female beauty is shallow, it's because the company who is trying to sell you whatever product wants their model(s) to look attractive so that they can influenece you, the consumer, to buy the product. And, also, generically speaking, the standards for an attractive women are much more broader than the standards for attractive men. Men are supposed to be the masculine, muscley, perfect faced creatures that can somehow achieve that look without using beauty products that are socially acceptable fot women to use.
  4. Men are more sexual than women. Women care more about the relationship than sex. As a bisexual I know this very well. However, this is not always the case.
