Is it okay to feel like I should be in a different race?
i hate hip-hop and rap i hate basketball and the nba I hate the lingo I don't feel proud to be black I'm not attracted to black girls and I don't think that they are attractive, beautiful or sexy. When they wear sexy outfits I don't feel anything, to be honest I don't think I could ever like a black girl. The only that I like and find attractive are Asian girls and girls of a different race. I don't like black models and i do not like B.E.T . I like Japanese, Korean and rock music i don't like girls butt and i don't stare at them i like eyes and not butts

- ok and so what? I dont like hip-hop that much also but you dont have to be a ignorant dinga lang. Name somebody that do like bet? come on idiot. Because your a brain washed bama a**!
- okay um,yea..asian fetish,eww..i'm mixed(mostly black)and i dont like black men either..so it's just your preference i guess. I don't like rap music.or hip hop or BET,but i'm proud to be black..sounds like you have some racial issues bud..
- I kind of get where you're coming from. I don't like traditional Latin music, reg"gay"ton, or some cultural aspects. I do hate rap and hip-hop, too. I'm about rock and metal. I don't really care to speak Spanish, it just doesn't interest me. But unlike you, I actually proud to come where I come from. (Mexican on Mom's side and Puerto Rican on Dad's side.) I'm proud of my race, but there's more to me than that. I just think that I'm unique for my race and enjoy my duality and ambiguity. //_^
- I think you're situation is just a matter of "living up to stereotypes and/or expectations" but apparently you're different. You can still "feel black" and are black, but you just don't like the same things. Its normal. We all are our own individual.
- You are allowed to feel anyway you choose. I also don't like most hip-hop or rap or BET, don't watch basketball, don't speak the lingo but I'm not ashamed of being black. See how that works. All blacks are not the same or like the same things. And as for the girls you like that is your preference. I find it sad that you would write off an entire group of ppl but that's your choice and your able to voice it.
- Well, I don't have your typical black looks...my hair is a little different, nose is kind of thin, and I constantly get asked what race is me and my kids. I love rock music, live in a middle class predominately white neighborhood, and have dated mostly white men in the past... BUT NEVER THE LESS, I AM MORE THAN PROUD TO BE BLACK!
- I am guessing you are black. Umm its actually good to hear that a guy is speaking out against what is now perceived as the norm in society. For example, blacks having to be gangsters and poor people. Its good to hear what you just said. You have to be yourself. Don't buy into this whole race and nationalism bullshit that they push on you. There is no such thing as race only different cultures and skin tones. Hell. I am hispanic and I dont go around listening to rap or mexican music or eat mexican food. I just eat whatever i like and listen to black metal and whatever like classical and techno and some other genres.
- Your a douche!
- You're free to like or dislike whatever you choose. As for being in a different race, what's wrong with being part of the human race? Would you rather be some kind of animal? Insect? etc.
- i understand that you don't fit into the stereo types of being black, but that doesn't mean that you should be a different race. not all black people like hip hop, rap, and basketball, yet they are still black. also you can be with an asian girl while still being black, there are no laws against biracial relationships like in the past. actually you sound exactly like my sister, who is fascinated by asian culture, music, and people. yet she has a balance in her life of at least understanding her own culture and heritage as well as exploring other cultures. it gives her a better perspective of the world. in the end, you cannot change who you are or where you come from. you can deny but fact is fact. being black isn't just about liking or doing certain things. just as in every other race, every individual is different. accept the fact that you have unique qualities as a black person and as a human being.
