Groom gift Boudoir photo shoot (men and ladies reply)?

I'm going to get Boudoir photos done of myself. i found a company that does bridal shots but wants to branch off into boudoir since its the new trend. so the photographer which has years of experience is going to do the photos at a discounted rate. i found a civil service friendly bridal wear shop and i got them to accessoiris me. ( i just have to pay for the lingierie/pj i choose from them) i'm scared i'm gonna be a horrible model. but it will be all worth it if he (fiancee) will be mouth to the floor. what do you guys think? is this a good gift?

  1. Those pictures are becoming really popular and I think they're cool. I mean, it's not something you're going to flash around. But, in 30 years, it'll be nice to remember what you looked like in your younger years. Plus, the women always look so glamorous. The is a professional and they know how to make you look good. Most normal people, don't have the slightest clue how to act in front of a camera. I'm one of them. But, professionals know how to work around all that and get good pictures. Don't worry. With a sexy outfit and nice hair and makeup, you'll look like a million bucks. Have Fun!
  2. If the photographer is any good, he or she can work with any type of model! :-) Just try to relax and have fun. The more casual, relaxed you are, the better the pictures will turn out. My husband would have LOVED this; however, I am too much of a chicken to do it, so kudos to you!
  3. I have thirty years as a professional photographer. Since I only do weddings, portraits, head shots, and commercial, I would refer a woman wanting a boudoir shot to an experienced boudoir photographer, especially if the woman is self-conscious - you describe yourself as a horrible model. So, find a photographer who specializes in boudoir. He/She will know how to hide the things you are self-conscious about, and accent your assets - plus props!
  4. This is not a new concept. I did this 20 years ago. There are many photographers that do the make up, have the clothing, and props. I found a husband and wife team. The woman did my hair and make up, the husband was an excellent photographer. It is a fabulous gift for a man!
  5. I think that sounds like a good gift ... I'm thinking of doing it myself if I can work up the courage. My fiance is in the military and I thought I could get some photos taken for when he goes overseas.
